GV Home Energy Expo – Shepparton, Sunday 14 June 2026
Come and find us at the inaugural GV Home Energy Expo — a free community event hosted by Greater Shepparton City Council at the McIntosh Centre, Shepparton Showgrounds, from 10am to 4pm on Sunday 14 June. The Goulburn Murray Solar Savers team will have a stand on the day, so come and chat with us about how the program can help make your home more comfortable and energy efficient. The expo will bring together industry experts, local stallholders and community organisations covering electrification, renewable energy, home energy assessments, government rebates and more. It's the perfect opportunity to get informed before our new round of thermal retrofit subsidies opens on 1 July 2026.

SAVE 50-100% ON A HOME ENERGY ASSESSMENT FROM JULY!
Goulburn Murray Solar Saver's will offer subsidies on draught proofing and home energy assessments to residents from July 2026.
Residents in Alpine, Indigo, Murrindindi, Mitchell and Strathbogie Shires, as well as Greater Shepparton and the Rural City of Wangaratta will be eligible for 50% subsidised home energy assessments, and 100% subsidised home energy assessments for residents with a Low Income Health Care or Pensioner Concession card.
Residents with Health Care or Pensioner Concession cards can also access 50% subsidised draught proofing to help with those pesky cold breezes that get through windows, doors and chimney's.

The team from Mitchell Shire Council will be on hand at the Open House Cafe with a providers of our solar, battery, heat pump, split system, insulation, energy assessment and much more, to answer your questions over coffee. And YES coffee is on us from 10am to 12noon!

Strathbogie Shire Council is proud to announce its participation in the Goulburn Murray Solar Savers program – a new initiative making it easier for residents and businesses to access trusted, high-quality solar and energy-efficient products.
The program provides an easy-to-use online portal that allows community members to request multiple quotes from fully vetted, reliable suppliers working locally in the Goulburn Murray region. The goal is to reduce the stress of researching options, while helping residents find the best deal on quality solar and energy-saving products – all with support to access available government rebates.
Chief Executive Officer, Rachelle Quattrocchi welcomed the initiative as a valuable tool for the Strathbogie community.
“We know people want to reduce their energy bills, but it can be overwhelming trying to figure out what’s best and who to trust,” Ms Quattrocchi said....read more here
