Goulburn Murray Solar Savers installers can either supply and install a new induction cooktop, or just do installation works for a cooktop you already own. To purchase and install a 60-90cm induction cooktop through Goulburn Murray Solar Savers the cost will be between $850 - $2550 (excl gst). This includes the unit, decommission and capping of any existing gas system, and full installation.
This is the raw cost and BEFORE your VEEC and other government rebates have been applied. Goulburn Murray Solar Savers will also apply a pensioner discount if applicable. Note that if your property requires specialised installation works (ie switchboard upgrades) these will be factored into your quote. |

Yes, induction cooktops require cookware with a magnetic base (such as stainless steel or cast iron). You can check compatibility by holding a magnet to the bottom of your pots and pans—if it sticks, they will work on an induction cooktop.
are induction cooktops really more energy efficient?
Yes. Since heat is generated directly in the pan, less energy is wasted compared to other cooktops. This also becomes noticeable in the summer months as induction cooktops do not generate heat in the kitchen, maintaining a cool working environment - ideal for restaurants and cafe's.

Yes. Induction cooktops are eligible for 2 VEEC's through the State Government's Victorian Energy Upgrade program when a household is disconnecting from a gas or LPG cooktop. Goulburn Murray Solar Savers providers are accredited providers through the VEU program, and supply approved products.
